Fan Ho's "Lost" 《迷》Screens at the Institute of Contemporary Arts
For over 50 years, legendary Hong Kong photographer and director Fan Ho's debut feature film, Lost (1970), was considered gone forever—a cinematic ghost. The sole surviving 35mm print was rediscovered and located by the non-profit Reel to Reel Institute (RTRI), who then commissioned its meticulous 2K restoration.
Witness this once-lost masterpiece brought back to the big screen at the ICA! This visually stunning film offers a unique window into the experimental Hong Kong cinema of the 1960s, made possible by the dedicated efforts of RTRI to preserve audiovisual heritage.
